Fie on Arriva Buses

Well, i know this is something i tend to complain about constantly. But if arriva buses are so incompetent and so unreliable, then i am left with no alternative choices. So myself, lizzy and isa leave the Lodge at 8:40am, as the bus is supposed to arrive at 8:45am. The reason we get out so late is because we are absolutely sure the bus will not turn up before scheduled time, and if it manages to (this is the point where we should all party, cos it never happens), it should wait until the scheduled time. So, we set out to the bus stop and see there are a few more people waiting for the same bus. So its clear that the bus still has not turned up. So, we wait in the freezing cold in the bus stop for our 'favourite' bus, X44. It's now 8:50am, and the bus has still not turned up. 8:55am... oh no! the lecture starts in 5 minutes! We refuse to take a taxi, because we have paid £55 for a stupid bus pass. So we continue to wait. 9am.. What do we do now?? We decide to give up on this lecture, walk back to the room and snuggle under the warm duvet. Oh! but what do we see approaching us?? is it a car? is it a 110?? NO! its the X44!!! We were 15 minutes late for the lecture. To top it all, another incident with the X44 occurred on my way back from bretton. The X44 skipped my stop. Yes.. it stopped a couple of meters away, but still. I pressed the button a few seconds before it was supposed to stop. I stood in front of the bus and yet the bus continued. Had i not asked him why he didn't stop, he would have carried on !! Conclusion and Moral of the story: DO NOT TRUST ARRIVA BUSES.
